The significant weather event declared due to a winter storm, of snow and freezing rain on sidewalks, roadways, laneways, and bicycle lanes, commencing at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, pursuant to O. Reg 239/02, is declared over as of 3 p.m. on Monday, February 24, 2025, by The Corporation of The Town of Aurora.

Our crews are working hard to clear the sidewalks and make them safe for everyone! We aim to have most sidewalks open and passable by the end of the weekend. Some areas with heavy snow buildup will need larger equipment and may take longer but we’re on it!
Our dedicated staff and contractors have been working around the clock, already hauling away hundreds of loads of snow from Yonge Street, Machel Ave, Irwin Ave, and McDonald Drive.

Our crews are working around the clock to clear snow from roads and sidewalks. We know there's still a lot of snow to clear and understand the frustration. We appreciate your patience as staff work through challenges to remove it safely and efficiently.
