The significant weather event declared due to a freezing rain event on sidewalks, roadways, laneways, and bicycle lanes, commenced at 4 p.m. on Friday March 28, 2025, pursuant to O. Reg 239/02, is declared over as of 10 a.m. today Monday, March 31, 2025, by The Corporation of The Town of Aurora.

We ask residents to continue to proceed with caution on all roadways, sidewalks, laneways, and bicycle lanes. Please monitor the Town’s website for further announcements.

The Corporation of the Town of Aurora declares a significant weather event due to Freezing Rain Warning issued by Environment Canada. Freezing rain is expected with accumulation amounts up to 10mm.

This will impact roadways, sidewalks, multi-use paths, bicycle lanes, and laneways commencing at 4 p.m. on March 28, 2025, pursuant to O.Reg 239/02.
