Outdoor diamond and field closures

Due to today's (June 27) inclement weather, please note the following outdoor closures:

  • All baseball diamonds are CLOSED tonight
  • Grass Soccer Fields: are OPEN today
  • Artificial Turf Fields: are OPEN today

**Discretion when using the soccer fields this evening as we could get more rain. Please do not play if you feel the conditions are not favourable as this could result in injury and/or deterioration of the field conditions.

As residents in Newmarket and Aurora plan their Canada Day activities, Central York Fire Services (CYFS) reminds everyone to keep fire safety top of mind, plan for safe fireworks use in accordance with local by-laws and to get out and enjoy the many Town hosted events.
