As autumn approaches, the Town of Aurora is gearing up for its fall Community Cleanup event. This fall initiative aims to clean up our parks, trails, and streets of summer debris and unsightly waste before the onset of winter.

“Our community cleanup days are a fantastic opportunity to come together, make a tangible difference and show pride in our wonderful town,” said Aurora Mayor Tom Mrakas. “I encourage you all to roll up your sleeves and join me! Your participation is what makes this event a success. Together, we can create a cleaner, greener environment for everyone to enjoy.”

The cleanup will take place on Saturday, September 28 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., so join your family, friends and coworkers and help cleanup Aurora.

New this year - participants can pickup a cleanup kit at Machell Park on the day of the event (while supplies last).

To participate, visit aurora.ca/Cleanup and complete the registration form for yourself or your group.

A list of target locations is available on the Town’s website, or you can choose your own location to cleanup. Volunteer hours will be provided for students participating.

Registration deadline is Friday, September 27. For more information on the Fall Community Cleanup, or to register, visit aurora.ca/Cleanup.

Together, let's keep Aurora beautiful for all to enjoy!
