Join us on June 30 and July 1 to celebrate our great country!

Come out and celebrate Canada Day festivities in the Town of Aurora on Friday, June 30 and Saturday, July 1.

Our Canada Day schedule is jam packed with events, starting on Friday, June 30 with Dance in the Park from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Head to Aurora Town Park to enjoy an evening of food vendors, dancing and live entertainment. Stop by the Beer Garden for a refreshing beverage; operated by the Rotary Club of Aurora.

On Saturday, July 1, be sure to stop by Town Park and check out the Aurora Farmers’ Market and Artisan Fair with the Aurora Community Band performing from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and again from11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Then line Yonge Street from Murray Drive to Aurora Heights Drive to view our annual Canada Day Parade starting at 10 a.m. Show off your Canadian Spirit by cheering alongside our festive floats and sweet-sounding marching bands.

The fun doesn’t stop there! After the parade, make your way to Lambert Willson Park to check out a variety of fun activities. Learn more about Canada, by participating in educational and interactive activities tailored to each Province and Territory. Don’t miss the shows and activities from the Aurora Community Arboretum, Black Creek Pioneer Village, Nascar Bob, Scientational Ssnakes, the Wild West Show and our Community Zone.

Take part in other free activities at the Aurora Family Leisure Complex: public skates, public swims, gym drop- ins and a free pancake breakfast provided by the Optimist Club of Aurora.
Take in our live entertainment including the Birds of Prey Show and the Multicultural Showcase. Wrap up the day with an East Coast feel with live entertainment from Fiddlestix followed by Off the Rock - Tribute to Great Big Sea. Lastly, stick around to see the grand finale of spectacular fireworks presented by Healthy Planet. On-site food vendors are available throughout the festivities for a nominal fee.
