Join us on June 30 and July 1 to celebrate our great country!

Get ready for an unforgettable celebration! Join us in the Town of Aurora as we commemorate Canada Day with a spectacular line up of events on Sunday, June 30 and Monday, July 1.

“Canada Day festivities in Aurora are one of the most popular events in our community. I invite our residents to help us celebrate being Canadian and relish in the diversity and culture that makes us all proud to call Canada our home,” said Mayor Tom Mrakas.

Start the festivities with Dance in the Park on June 30 at Aurora Town Park. Enjoy an evening of food vendors, dancing and live entertainment. Visit the Beer Garden for a refreshing beverage operated by the Rotary Club of Aurora.

On Monday, July 1, stop by Town Park and check out the Aurora Farmers’ Market and Artisan Fair with the Aurora Community Band performing from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and then again from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Watch our spectacular Canada Day Parade starting at 10 a.m. from Yonge Street to Aurora Heights Drive. Show off your Canadian pride by cheering alongside our festive floats and sweet-sounding marching bands.

The fun doesn’t stop there! After the parade, make your way to Lambert Willson Park to check out a variety of fun activities. Learn more about Canada, by participating in educational and interactive activities tailored to each province and territory. Take part in other free activities at the Aurora Family Leisure Complex: public skates, public swims, gym drop ins and a free pancake breakfast provided by the Optimist Club of Aurora.

Don’t forget to take in our live entertainment including the Birds of Prey Show, Off the Rock – Tribute to Great Big Sea, Tribute to Gordon Lightfoot, Crosswinds and closing off before the fireworks with a Tribute to the Tragically Hip. Plus, grab a bite from on-site food vendors—they’re serving up delicious treats at a nominal cost.

Special thanks to our generous sponsor, Aurora Home Hardware. Additional funding provided by the Department of Canadian Heritage.
