Aurora Town Square’s Grand Opening Finale Weekend

It’s the final weekend of Aurora Town Square’s Grand Opening celebrations! Since September 21, The Square has been a vibrant hub of cultural experiences, family-friendly events and live performances. As the multi-week festivities draw to a close, residents still have one last chance to enjoy this special weekend of discounted tickets and free activities as part of the Grand Opening.

“Aurora Town Square has truly become a vibrant hub for our community,” said Mayor Tom Mrakas. “It has been incredible to see our community come together in this space and I encourage everyone to join us for the last few days of these fantastic celebrations. This final weekend is a perfect opportunity for everyone to experience the heart of Aurora at Aurora Town Square.”

Friday, October 11 kicks off with Rock the Square, Town Square’s first free outdoor concert. The Rubber Tire Peep Show (RTPS) will energize the audience with a dynamic mix of country-blues, funk, soul, and classic rock, setting the stage for a sold-out show by Canadian rock legends Sloan. Grab a bite from the Armoury Café and Smash n’ Grab Burger Co., and enjoy a night of incredible music.

Saturday, October 12, embrace the fall season with a day of free, family-friendly fun. From pumpkin carving to outdoor games and a cozy bonfire, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. That evening Fiddlestix will bring their genre-bending energy to the stage with a fusion of Celtic, country, rock, pop, and jazz, delivering a performance not to be missed.

Sunday, October 13, the weekend wraps up with a special matinee concert by The Beresfords, performing the music of Taylor Swift. Swifties won’t want to miss this one! To make the afternoon even more special, there will be a pre-show bracelet-making party, adding a fun, interactive twist to the event.
