As part of the Regional Municipality of York’s pavilion at this year’s Collision Conference, Aurora's ‘Emerging Aurora’ campaign will proudly showcase the innovation of up-and- coming, local technology companies. The Collision Conference, one of the world’s largest tech events, taking place June 17 to 20, 2024, at the Enercare Centre in the City of Toronto.

York Region, Canada’s second-largest tech hub, collaborates with its nine municipal partners, including Aurora, to nurture and connect the technology ecosystem. At Collision, the Town of Aurora will spotlight four standout technology start-ups: Skinopathy, Stem Minds, NuBinary, and a groundbreaking partnership with MetaworldX.

Aurora Mayor Tom Mrakas will be interviewed on the Town’s support for technology start-ups, and how these companies represent the Town’s growing emerging technologies cluster.

“As a municipality, it is our role to create the environment for our companies to take risks, be bold, and grow our local economy. We are pleased to be able to participate in Collision, and proud to share the momentum the Town of Aurora is experiencing with new technology start-ups and our growing region-wide connections,” says Mayor Mrakas.
