Starting November 15, winter overnight parking restrictions take effect. On-street parking is not permitted from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. daily until April 15, 2025. In addition, vehicles must not be parked on the street during snow removal operations.

Parked vehicles can obstruct snowplows and road maintenance equipment, delaying snow clearing efforts. These restrictions will be enforced regardless of current weather or road conditions.

Bylaw officers will issue penalties for overnight parking violations. The fine for parking during restricted hours is $50, while obstructing snow removal will result in a $75 fine.

Occasional Use On-Street Parking Permits

Residents and visitors can apply online for up to 12 free parking permits per vehicle annually, allowing overnight street parking during the winter restriction period. However, permits are not valid during active snow events or when plowing and salting operations are underway. For more information, visit aurora.ca/parking.

Toys for Tickets

From November 20 to December 13, parking fines can be paid by donating a new, unwrapped toy or gift card to York Regional Police's Toys for Tickets campaign. All donations directly support families from our community who are in need. Toys must be dropped off at the Access Aurora counter at Aurora Town Hall. Restrictions apply.
