Aurora Partners with Enviro World to Promote Water Conservation

The Town of Aurora is proud to partner with Enviro World to promote water conservation within the community by offering rain barrels for purchase online until May 20, 2024.

Rain barrels play a crucial role in reducing stormwater runoff by capturing rainwater and mitigating its negative impact on local ecosystems. Not only will you save on your water bill by using this collected water, rainwater collected in these barrels is free from chemicals found in the municipal water system, making it ideal for watering gardens and promoting healthier, more robust plant growth.

“By partnering with Enviro World to promote water conservation through the sale of rain barrels, we're empowering Aurora residents to take tangible steps towards a more sustainable future,” said Mayor Mrakas. “Together, we can make a significant impact on preserving our local ecosystems.”

Residents interested in participating in this initiative can order rain barrels online until May 20. Show your receipt and pick up rain barrels at the Joint Operation Centre, located at 229 Industrial Parkway North, on Saturday, May 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
