Aurora's annual Electric Vehicle Showcase charges up for action-packed Sunday

Aurora, ON –Test drive, analyze and compare the latest electrical vehicles and charging solutions at the Town of Aurora’s third annual Electric Vehicle (EV) Showcase. This exciting event promises a day filled with electrifying experiences, education, and entertainment, all centered around the future of transportation.

As the world moves towards sustainable solutions, electric vehicles (EVs) have emerged as a key player in the quest for a greener future. Aurora's EV Showcase serves as a platform to celebrate, explore, and learn about the latest innovations and advancements in electric mobility and is a pivotal educational piece in our quest to lower our overall community emissions and achieve aggressive emission reductions by 2050.

This showcase comes at a time when an increasing number of EVs are hitting the market, with more than 184,000 EVs registered in Canada in 2023. The Town of Aurora continues to prioritize green infrastructure to support this shift to low-emissions driving, with numerous public charging stations around Town, the implementation of our Green Fleet Action Plan and a new set of Green Development standards, introduced in late 2022, outlining EV charging infrastructure for new developments.
