The Ontario Government on Friday announced an investment in an orientation bus tour led by the Town of Aurora that provides older adult newcomers to Canada with an opportunity to familiarize themselves with key organizations and services across Aurora, helping reduce social isolation and combat issues such as elder abuse and fraud.

Town of Aurora Ratified Four-Year Agreement with CUPE LOCAL 905.01

The Town of Aurora is pleased to announce that on October 17, 2023, Council endorsed a new Collective Agreement with the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Local 905.01 (outside workers).
The terms of the settlement, ratified by CUPE Local 905.01 and Town Council include:
- modest benefit increases
- annual wage increases over four years:
- 3 per cent for April 1, 2023
- 2.5 per cent for April 1, 2024
- 2.5 per cent for April 1, 2025
- 3 per cent as for April 1, 2026
