What: Aurora Town Square is officially opening its doors on Saturday, September 21, with a special Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. The festivities kick off with a procession from Town Park to the Outdoor Square, led by the Town Crier. Attendees will be treated to music by the St. Andrew’s College Pipe and Drums Band and a traditional Smudging Ceremony with Grandmother Kim Wheatley.

Following the ceremony, enjoy the Multicultural Festival until 4 p.m. and visit the Aurora Museum & Cultural Centre as they reopen their galleries with six inaugural projects along with two artist talks, from 4- 7 p.m.

This event marks the start of several weeks of Grand Opening celebrations, featuring live performances — including the Norman Dance Company on September 21 — interactive workshops, activities, programs, and exhibits.
