June is Recreation & Parks Month (J.R.P.M.)

June is Recreation and Park Month (J.R.P.M.) is a movement that promotes the benefits of recreation and parks for physical, social and environmental health. Communities across Ontario have embraced J.R.P.M. as a way to promote local programs and events, parks and facilities that are available for all citizens to enjoy.

Access to parks and recreation is a fundamental human need that helps foster personal health, strong communities and social inclusion. J.R.P.M. celebrates Ontario’s spectacular parks and recreation services and raises awareness for the role they play as a pathway to individual, community and environmental well-being.

So come out to one of our special events, participate in free Town drop-in activities, or simply download our J.R.P.M. calendar for ideas on how you can enjoy nature and play all month long! Tag us in your pictures #AuroraJRPM24.
